Sustainability at Our School
Sustainability Lead: Hannah Carrington
At our school, we are committed to nurturing students who care for their world and understand the importance of protecting it for future generations. Guided by our Climate Action Plan, we are working to build a culture of sustainability that is visible in our classrooms, our school grounds, and our everyday practices.
We are focusing on practical steps that help pupils learn how small actions can make a big difference—reducing and recycling waste, conserving energy and water, protecting local habitats, and making thoughtful choices about the resources we use. These initiatives are woven into learning experiences so that environmental responsibility becomes a natural part of school life.
Our sustainability journey is a collaborative one. We regularly consult with key stakeholders—students, parents, staff, and our wider community—to ensure our actions are meaningful, achievable, and aligned with our shared values. Together, we are developing new ideas, strengthening current practices, and planning for long-term improvements that support a healthier planet.
By empowering students to understand and participate in caring for the environment, we aim to inspire lifelong habits that extend far beyond school.
